Tokyo Language Program
For years, we have been helping people turn their dream of Japan into a successful and enjoyable stay – from a few weeks to several years.
You want to go to Japan – but probably not just to sit in a classroom every day. Maybe you dream of living in Japan for a few months, improving your Japanese, meeting new people, exploring the country, or simply experiencing everyday life from a local perspective. That is exactly what we help you with.
Together, we discuss your goals, your budget, visa requirements and all the practical details. Based on your plans, we help you find the right language school, accommodation and program for your stay in Japan.

Life in the Megacity of Tokyo
Live like a Japanese in the country’s capital – you can do that without flying to Japan for a whole year! As a participant in this program, you have the opportunity to live in Tokyo for a few weeks or even several months while learning Japanese at one of our partner schools. During your time in Japan, you’ll live in your own accommodation, cater for yourself, or optionally have your host family cook for you, allowing you to get to know the traditions and lifestyle of the Japanese people.
As always, our comprehensive support is included, assisting you not only on your journey to Japan but also once you’re there!
Our partner schools in Tokyo have locations in several districts, including Takadanobaba (Shinjuku), Ikebukuro, Shibuya, and Harajuku. All districts are centrally located in the heart of Tokyo, so you can dive right into the hustle and bustle after your language lessons and experience Japan’s capital firsthand.
If you’ve already chosen a campus, you can select your preferred location directly in your online account after registration – or you can leave the choice to us, and we’ll find the perfect school for you.

What could your stay look like?
Many stays in Japan are not just about language school. You can combine lessons, accommodation, Working Holiday and free time in a way that fits your plans.
Working Holiday in Japan
Do you want to spend as much time as possible in Japan while staying flexible? Many Working Holiday participants use language school as a starting point and shape the rest of their stay more independently, for example with part-time jobs, travel or their own accommodation.
- ideal for 6-12 months in Japan
- often 3-6 months of language school as a starting point
- easy to combine with part-time jobs and travel
Gap Year Japan
Do you want to spend a longer period in Japan after school, university or vocational training? A gap year combines language lessons, everyday experience and personal orientation.
- ideal after school, university or vocational training
- several months in Japan with a clear structure
- a good start for anyone who wants to experience Japan more deeply
Long-term stay in Japan
Do you want to do more than just visit Japan and experience the country over a longer period? We plan with you how language school, accommodation, everyday life and possible next steps fit together.
- for 6, 12 or 24 months in Japan
- suitable for intensive language development
- optionally with a view to future opportunities in Japan
Short stay in Japan
Do you want to get to know Japan for a few weeks first? A short language stay combines intensive lessons with enough time to experience everyday life, culture and your first independent steps on site.
- ideal for 2-4 weeks in Japan
- a compact introduction to language and daily life
- easy to combine with travel before or after the course

Costs for your stay in Japan
Many participants stay in Japan longer than they actually attend language school. You can combine a few weeks or months of language lessons with additional time in Japan.
Roughly plan your stay
Choose course duration, total stay and optional accommodation.
This calculation is only intended as a first estimate. In your consultation, we will check together which combination of language school, accommodation and length of stay really fits you.

Your application process
Gathering information & application
Your path to Japan is easier than you think! First, find out about all the possibilities on our page, discuss your travel plans with us, or register directly for a Japan program via the application button.
Preparing for your trip
Together, we will prepare your trip in a personal consultation. We support your preparation and discuss your visa plan. If you book accommodation coordination, we help you shortlist options and coordinate communication with the housing provider.
Payment of fees
Your preparation is complete — next, we confirm the remaining details. Only then will any applicable fees become due. Tuition fees are paid onward to the language school, and accommodation costs are paid to the housing provider (often on a monthly basis, depending on the provider).
Finally, it begins!
Your trip to Japan begins! You can choose your arrival day yourself - for example, even 2 weeks before school starts.
School start
Once you’ve arrived and settled in, your course at the language school begins according to the school’s timetable. Beginners typically start with the basics and progress step by step.
Ongoing support
We stay in touch and remain available for questions. Optional on-site support services can be booked separately where needed.
Frequently asked questions
You surely still have questions despite all the information – and that’s completely normal. We would be happy to discuss all your questions, uncertainties, and concerns in a personal conversation.
We have summarized frequently asked questions from our prospective students here.
As soon as you have registered with us, we will check availability for your preferred stay. If you book accommodation coordination, we will support the housing process in personal consultation with you. Your registration becomes binding only after payment at least 45 days before departure.
Your fee overview shows (1) our consulting fee and (2) pass-through costs (e.g., tuition) depending on your selection. Optional on-site and accommodation coordination services are displayed separately where applicable.
Unfortunately not. All language schools in Japan divide their classes according to level and number of students, so unfortunately we do not know which group you will be placed in until shortly before school starts. After three months, however, the classes are always reshuffled.
