Arc Academy
The ARC Academy, with locations in Tokyo (Iidabashi & Shinjuku) and Kyoto, has offered a structured, hands-on learning environment with clear learning goals and individual support since 1986. The lessons are consistently communication-oriented: speaking and listening are linked with grammar, vocabulary, and kanji so that you can immediately apply what you have learned in everyday life. Experienced teachers will guide you in small to medium-sized classes; a placement test before the course starts ensures that you start at the appropriate level. You can choose from short and long-term programs from beginner to advanced levels, with JLPT preparation or thematic focuses (e.g. business Japanese) available on request. For longer stays, support with the student visa is possible. Supplementary workshops, activities, and excursions promote intercultural exchange and reinforce the language outside the classroom. The central locations in Tokyo with very good connections, as well as the cultural environment in Kyoto, offer you two different but equally inspiring learning locations – ideal for making noticeable progress and experiencing Japan first-hand.

Tokyo
ARC Academy runs two campuses in central Tokyo—Iidabashi and Shinjuku. They’re only a few stops apart and both are very well connected, so the campus choice won’t make a big difference to your daily life. Pick the one that fits your housing or schedule best; either way, you’ll be studying right in the heart of the city.
Kyoto
ARC Academy’s Kyoto campus is about a 20-minute walk from Nijo Castle. It welcomes a large student community, and the surrounding neighborhood—full of centuries-old temples, shrines, and traditional streets—makes studying here a distinctly Kyoto experience.
